The Lyndhurst Bridge seems to be in need of some TLC. The following pictures were taken on Oct 24/11. (See below for more recent updates of Feb 2012)

A couple of years ago a large section of bog drifted downstream to within about 200 ft of the bridge. That bog had to be removed since it was a threat to the bridge and the dam. Another much smaller piece of bog has now drifted down and stuck to the river bank in shallow water. Is that also a threat to the bridge/dam say in the high water of the spring? The last picture shows the current bog.


More stones have fallen since the above pics were taken. About Feb 17/12 another 2 fell out and on about Feb 23/12 another,larger one fell. These rocks plus smaller ones have been piled behind the bridge as seen in the third pic below.
